Landis+Gyr announces share buyback program of up to $37 million

Landis+Gyr has approved a share buyback program of up to USD 37 million to return the net proceeds from the sale of its EMEA business to shareholders. A maximum of 2.09% of issued registered shares will be repurchased via the ordinary trading line of the SIX Swiss Exchange. Landis+Gyr completes share buyback at CHF 50.00

Landis+Gyr has completed the fixed-price buyback at CHF 50.00 per share; 4,106,869 registered shares were tendered and were accepted pro rata at a ratio of 24.35 percent because the offer was limited to 1,000,000 shares. Payment and delivery are scheduled for August 21, 2026. After completion Landis+Gyr holds 2,285,464 treasury shares (7.91% of capital). Landis+Gyr: revenue and order intake down in first quarter, gross margin rises

After selling its EMEA business, Landis+Gyr recorded a 6.8% decline in revenue to USD 232.3m in the first quarter of 2026/27 and a 2.7% lower order intake. Adjusted gross profit rose 1% to USD 87.0m, and the adjusted gross profit margin improved to 37.4% thanks to efficiency gains and a higher share of recurring software and services revenue. By segment, Connected Platforms saw lower sales while Grid Intelligence grew strongly; backlog stands at USD 3.82bn.
