Magna raises guidance after margin improvements at JPMorgan conference

Magna reported margin increases from operational excellence at the JPMorgan Automotive Conference and raised forecasts for EPS, operating margin and free cash flow, although the production environment remains weak. The "Factory of the Future" program has delivered roughly 200 basis points of margin improvement since 2023 and is expected to add a further 35–40 basis points annually through 2026. Revenue forecasts were cut due to currency effects and accelerated divestitures; at the same time the company plans $1–1.5 billion in share buybacks for 2025 and sees growth potential in China and beyond its core automotive business.
