Marathon Digital has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a more than 1,200-acre site in Matagorda County, Texas, through its subsidiary Volt Texas. The site is expected to initially deliver up to 1 gigawatt of grid capacity by October 2027 and to be expanded to up to 2 gigawatts by April 2028, with phased construction beginning in 2026 subject to permits.
