Mercury boosts 2026 EBITDA significantly and raises forecast for 2030

New Zealand utility Mercury reported EBITDA of NZD 1,068m for fiscal 2026 (+36%), driven by higher generation from renewable sources and lower operating costs. The ordinary dividend was increased by 13% to NZD 0.27 per share; NZD 0.29 is expected for 2027. Total generation rose 15% to 9,100 GWh, capital expenditure climbed to around NZD 710m, and net debt is about 2.0 times EBITDA. Mercury General places senior notes of $525 million with 6.25% coupon

Mercury General completed a public offering of unsecured senior notes with a face value of $525 million, maturing on June 15, 2036, and carrying a coupon of 6.25%; the securities were issued at 99.764%. The notes are pari passu with other unsecured senior indebtedness and were enabled by an amendment to the existing indenture and a modification of the credit agreement with Bank of America.
