MGX has completed the final iron ore shipment from Koolan Island and is shifting its strategy to gold production in the Northern Territory. The company holds 50% of the Central Tanami Project, which has a 100% base resource of 2.8 million ounces of gold (MGX’s share ~1.4 million ounces), and plans to develop Groundrush as the core deposit with underground development. MGX reports more than AUD 400 million in cash and reserves, expects initial annual production of 100,000–120,000 ounces at a throughput of ~1.5 million tonnes, and intends to fund early development stages without external capital.
