The company expects third-quarter phosphate sales of 1.1–1.4 million tons and realized sulfur costs of about $700–$710 per ton, while guiding DAP FOB prices to $820–$840 per ton and stripping margins to remain above historical averages. S&P Global Ratings has changed Mosaic’s outlook from stable to negative and affirmed the issuer rating at BBB. The agency expects the operating cash flow-to-debt ratio to fall below 20% in 2026 and projects adjusted EBITDA of around $1.6 billion (vs. $2.6 billion in 2025). Drivers are sharply higher sulfur and ammonia costs and supply bottlenecks from the Persian Gulf, after which Mosaic curtailed production and now expects negative free cash flow of $400–500 million for 2026.
