Motor Oil reports sharp profit rise in H1 2026 thanks to record refining margins

Motor Oil posted a significant profit jump in the first half of 2026: revenue rose 43% to €7.5 billion, net profit climbed from €126 million to €666 million, and EBITDA more than doubled to €1.047 billion. The adjusted refinery margin reached record levels (USD 165/tonne in H1), driven by tight product inventories and strong demand. Motor Oil reports a 25% rise in revenue to €3.4 billion for Q1 2026, EBITDA of €546 million (more than double) and net profit of €332 million (+290% vs Q1 2025). Adjusted net profit increased to €203 million (+113%) and free cash flow returned to positive territory at €378 million. Growth was mainly supported by significant inventory gains from higher crude oil prices and diversification of crude sourcing despite the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Motor Oil Hellas reported a robust fourth-quarter 2025 performance with net profit up 50% to €648m and EBITDA rising 10% to €1.1bn. Revenue fell 6% to €11.5bn, and free cash flow was €347m.
