Panasonic hands TV sales and marketing to Skyworth, focuses on growth in Europe
Panasonic transfers sales and marketing of its TV business to Skyworth Display Technology; the strategic partnership will be expanded region by region, with Europe an important market. Panasonic remains responsible for the technical quality of the OLED devices, while Skyworth brings its global sales, marketing and logistics network to help rebuild the brand. Panasonic develops robotic design-for-disassembly to reduce appliance waste and inform modular building design
Panasonic is launching an autonomous disassembly program that combines AI, robotics and 3D CAD simulations to redesign appliances for easier repair, reuse and material recovery, aiming to cut electronic waste and extend product lifespans. The company retrains robots using disassembly simulations and adjusts product architecture, fasteners and materials to enable circularity even if it reduces new-unit sales. Panasonic opens heat pump factory in Pilsen and plans production expansion in Europe
Panasonic has opened a new heat pump factory in Pilsen (Plzen), investing around €320 million, and aims to raise capacity to 1.4 million indoor and outdoor units per year by 2030. The plant will create up to 700 jobs, house an R&D centre and rely on high automation to shorten delivery times and reduce emissions in Europe.
