The study by Hatch shows a pre-tax net present value of USD 8.0 billion, an increase of 567% versus a Fluor study from July 2025, with average projected adjusted annual EBITDA of roughly USD 1.3 billion. The higher values result mainly from the changed processing methodology (carbochlorination) rather than from organic project improvements; capital costs are reported at USD 3.2 billion plus about USD 0.8 billion in contingency.
