RWS to acquire Acolad – shares jump more than 12%

RWS has announced a binding agreement to acquire Acogroup, Acolad’s parent company; the stock then rose about 12.4% to 108.3 pence. The transaction carries an enterprise value of £22.4m and total consideration of £40.2m, of which £17.8m will be paid in cash, and no liabilities will transfer to RWS. RWS plans takeover of language services provider Acolad

RWS has announced a binding agreement to acquire Acogroup, the parent company of Acolad. Acolad employs around 1,200 people across 22 countries and offers localization, interpreting, transcription and AI-powered content services through a network of more than 10,000 linguists. RWS expects the transaction to close by 31 March 2027, subject to the French information and consultation process and other regulatory approvals. RWS Holdings reports first‑half 2026 revenue growth of 5% to £360m and adjusted EPS up 34% to £0.049; adjusted operating profit rose 28% to £26.4m.
