Berkshire's NICO to buy 2.49% stake in Tokio Marine for $1.8bn

Berkshire Hathaway’s reinsurance unit National Indemnity Company will acquire about 48.2 million Tokio Marine treasury shares, taking a 2.49% stake for roughly $1.8bn (¥287.4bn). Tokio Marine will repurchase up to ¥287.4bn of its own shares to avoid dilution.
