Umicore raises forecast after strong H1 figures, shares climb
Umicore reported an adjusted EBITDA of €577m for H1 2026 (consensus €531m) and an adjusted EBIT of €442m (consensus €388m). Free cash flow was positive at €156m and substantially exceeded expectations, prompting the group to raise its full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance from “near €1bn” to “slightly above €1bn.” JPMorgan confirmed an Overweight rating and raised estimates; the stock rose about 3.5% in trading to €21.80. » Altro su de.investing.com
Umicore rises more than 14% after Goldman Sachs upgrade
Umicore shares jumped 14.34% to €25.68 and hit a new 52-week high after Goldman Sachs upgraded its rating from "Neutral" to "Buy" and raised the 12-month price target from €21 to €33. Goldman Sachs cited significantly higher estimates for recycling and Specialty Materials and strong commodity prices for cobalt and germanium; the bank sees considerable growth potential in germanium solutions through 2028. Il segmento Catalysis produce catalizzatori per autoveicoli per benzina, gasolio leggero e pesante; catalisi stazionaria per il controllo delle emissioni industriali; e composti e catalizzatori a base di metalli preziosi destinati all'industria farmaceutica e della chimica fine, nonché ad applicazioni con celle a combustibile. Il segmento Energy & Surface Technologies offre materiali al cobalto e materiali speciali, materiali per batterie ricaricabili e materiali elettro-ottici, nonché soluzioni per la deposizione di metalli, tra cui elettrodeposizione e rivestimento PVD. Il segmento Recycling tratta flussi di rifiuti contenenti metalli preziosi e altri metalli speciali provenienti da una serie di residui industriali e materiali a fine vita. Questo segmento produce inoltre materiali a base di metalli preziosi destinati alla produzione di vetro, nonché ad applicazioni elettriche ed elettroniche. La società era precedentemente nota come Union Minière du Haut Katanga e ha cambiato denominazione in Umicore SA nel 2001. Umicore SA è stata fondata nel 1805 ed ha sede a Bruxelles, in Belgio.
