  • Vistry receives £350m funding for 3,028 homes – shares jump

The UK government has pledged £350 million to Vistry under its ten‑year social and affordable housing programme to deliver 3,028 homes. Homes England named Vistry Homes one of 33 strategic partners and approved the maximum amount, which should provide planning certainty for partners and could boost transactions. Vistry’s shares rose to 300 pence (about +11.7%), the highest level since early August. The company is targeting improved profitability in the second half of the year and a net cash position of over £100 million by year‑end. » Altro su de.investing.com

  • Vistry loses credit insurance cover for suppliers, shares fall sharply

A leading credit insurer has reduced coverage for Vistry’s suppliers; according to a report the protection could be cut by up to 70%. The adjustment applies to new trading arrangements and depends on Vistry’s financial performance in the coming weeks. The shares fell in London by around 7% at one point; earlier a remark from the CFO of Travis Perkins had already triggered an almost 10% sell-off. Vistry has struggled since 2024 with underestimated construction costs, has restructured management and initiated cost cuts, but reduced insurance cover increases pressure on its cash flow. » Altro su de.investing.com

  • Vistry share falls after profit warning and announced CFO departure

Vistry shares fell about 11% in trading to 279.16p after the company issued a trading update forecasting an expected pre-tax loss of around £30m for H1 2026. The result was hit by higher discounts and asset disposals of around £50m; homes sold fell to 6,100 from 6,889 and average private-sale discounts rose to 7.1%. Finance chief Tim Lawlor announced he will leave in October, amplifying the negative market reaction. Vistry still expects an adjusted pre-tax profit for the full year in line with the market consensus of £200m and a net cash position of over £100m; CEO Adam Daniels called 2026 a transition year and plans to present a comprehensive review in September. » Altro su de.investing.com
