Yara and Team Agrar have signed a contract for the delivery of 2,500 tonnes of CO2‑reduced fertilizer, whose production saved around 900 tonnes of CO2 equivalent. The fertilizer is produced in Rostock from ammonia from the Sluiskil plant, where Yara captures CO2 via CCS and injects it underground. Yara sees CO2‑reduced fertilizer as an important lever for decarbonizing food production and for strengthening European independence from Russian fertilizer. Yara dropped 2.3% to 443.6 NOK after Q2 2026 figures that missed market expectations by a wide margin. Adjusted EBITDA was $906m versus a consensus of $1.13bn, despite the margin rising 400 basis points to 20.5%. Yara, through its US subsidiary, has acquired the Gulf Coast Ammonia production facility in Texas City from GCA Holdings for $1.3 billion. The plant has an expected nameplate capacity of 1.3 million tonnes per year and is scheduled to reach full capacity by the end of 2026; industrial gases will be supplied long-term by Air Products.
