AECOM leads joint venture with Jacobs as program delivery partner for Dublin's MetroLink
A joint venture between AECOM and Jacobs has been selected by Transport Infrastructure Ireland as the program delivery partner for the MetroLink underground project in Dublin. The team will support procurement, programme management, governance and risk management across the full programme lifecycle and provide an integrated delivery model to manage the interfaces between numerous contracts. MetroLink is planned as a predominantly underground system with 16 stations, connecting Swords in north County Dublin with Dublin Airport and the city centre. AECOM named design partner for Northland motorway project in New Zealand
AECOM has been appointed design partner for the “Warkworth to Te Hana” project and is working with main contractor ACCIONA within the Northway Consortium. The scheme is the first of three sections of the Northland Corridor Program to convert State Highway 1 into a motorway; the design includes new interchanges, improved curve radii, sightlines and adjusted gradients, as well as measures to increase resilience to flooding, landslides and extreme weather. Aecom technology benefits from Nepal reconstruction hopes
The Aecom share rose intraday by around 2.7% after the flooding disaster in Nepal, which left at least 489 dead, raised expectations of extensive reconstruction efforts and potential contracts worth at least USD 5 billion. AECOM, with an order backlog of about USD 21 billion and expertise in disaster relief and large projects, is seen as a potential bidder for multilaterally financed contracts.
