Helge Weiner‑Trapness will become executive chairman of Allergy Therapeutics, succeeding Peter Jensen OBE, who is stepping down as chair after more than 15 years. Weiner‑Trapness has served since January 2026 as chief strategy officer and executive director and brings over 30 years of investment banking experience, most recently as vice chairman, global banking at HSBC. He will share strategic leadership with CEO Manuel Llobet while the company examines a possible dual listing in Hong Kong. Allergy Therapeutics reports clear biomarker-based efficacy signals with good tolerability from the Phase‑I/IIa PROTECT study of VLP Peanut. After three subcutaneous injections, up to a 2,000-fold increase in tolerated dose was observed without a relevant safety signal, reduced basophil sensitivity to peanut and Ara h2, and dose-dependent effects on Ara h2 binding and specific IgG (highest dose: p=0.003 for peanut, p=0.04 for Ara h2, p=0.0005 for IgG). One month after treatment, wheal diameter was reduced versus placebo.
