Burberry CEO could earn up to £12.2m under new bonus scheme

Burberry said chief executive Joshua Schulman could receive up to £12.2m this year if he meets stretching performance targets and the share price rises 50%, with a target pay of £6.4m otherwise. His basic pay will rise to £1.24m from July and a new long-term share award of up to 300% of salary ties payouts to targets including raising annual revenue to £3.1bn by 2029. The company reported a pre-tax profit of £49m for the year to 28 March, sales broadly flat at £2.4bn, and said cost cuts and a focus on core products helped recover markets in China and North America.
