Chemomab to merge with Scipher and puts Nebokitug in focus for rheumatoid arthritis

At the H.C. Wainwright conference, Chemomab announced a planned merger with Scipher Medicine to combine clinical data, diagnostics and commercial reach and advance the development of Nebokitug for rheumatoid arthritis. Nebokitug, a CCL24-antagonistic, first-in-class antibody, showed a favorable safety profile as well as anti-inflammatory and antifibrotic effects in a Phase II study in PSC; Scipher’s Spectra platform ranks CCL24 among the top 1% of targets for RA. The transaction includes a $30 million PIPE, creates the new company Scipher Medicine Corporation (ticker SCIP) and is intended to fund the company through publication of Phase II topline results in H1 2028. Chemomab plans to start the RA Phase II study in 2027, use PrismRA for patient selection, and position Nebokitug as a precision-medicine option for treatment-resistant RA patients. » Więcej na de.investing.com
