Cicor is entering a strategic manufacturing partnership with EDMI and is acquiring EDMI Electronics Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia in return; the deal includes a long‑term manufacturing contract. The purchase price for the company, equipment and inventory is indicated at around USD 15–20 million. Cicor expects more than USD 50 million in annual revenue from the smart meters going forward and an additional mid‑double‑digit million franc revenue from 2027, while the impact on the operating margin is assessed as small. Cicor reports a net sales increase of 19% to CHF 334.1m for H1 2026 and an order intake of CHF 399.8m (up almost 40%), yielding a book-to-bill ratio of 1.2. In Q2, organic growth turned positive to +5.3% and order intake of CHF 204m was well above the CHF 160m consensus. The Aerospace & Defense segment grew by around 60% and now accounts for 28% of sales.
