Strong half-year results drive Coats stock higher

Coats reported revenue of $837m for H1 2026 (+19% reported increase), largely driven by the acquisition of footwear components maker OrthoLite. Organic growth was 1%, adjusted EBIT margin remained stable at 19.8%, while adjusted basic earnings per share fell by 6%. Coats Group names Tim Cobbold as designated supervisory board chair

Tim Cobbold will join the board of directors of Coats Group as a non-executive member effective 1 July and will take over the chair from David Gosnell on 1 August; Gosnell will retire on 31 July after eleven years. Cobbold is currently chair of Spirax Group and brings extensive leadership experience from previous CEO and board roles. Coats Group appoints Annette Kelleher to the board of directors

Coats Group has appointed Annette Kelleher as a non-executive director effective 1 June 2026; she will sit on the nominations and remuneration committees. Kelleher brings more than 25 years of experience in the international industrial sector, including serving as chief human resources officer at Johnson Matthey from 2013 to 2025. She currently sits on the board of Keller Group and is a member of the Remuneration Consultants Group.
