Ebara share plunges after tepid quarterly report

Ebara’s stock fell 8.8% to ¥5,345 after a mixed Q2 report. In the first half, revenue rose 9.4% and net profit increased 7.1%, while operating income grew just 1.2% and pre-tax profit missed analysts’ expectations. Order intake in the Precision and Electronics segment nearly doubled (up almost 90%) and the company sharply raised its full-year orders forecast, but investors doubt those orders will translate into higher margins.
