Funding Circle has signed a two-year financing agreement with Castlelake for up to £500 million, under which Castlelake will gradually invest capital through the platform into loans for UK small businesses. The deal brings Castlelake in as a new institutional investor and broadens Funding Circle’s funding base; the company operates a capital-efficient model.
