The British Frasers Group increased its stake in Hugo Boss to 50.08 percent by buying 198,666 shares, thereby taking a majority position. Frasers paid €38.41 per share and plans to consolidate Hugo Boss into its group accounts going forward. Frasers Group made a voluntary takeover offer for Hugo Boss in the summer at €38 per share, but most recently acquired 47.89 percent of voting rights, narrowly missing a majority. Although Frasers still aims for a stake above 50 percent, the group is currently focusing more on acquisitions at Under Armour (8.78 percent) and indirectly at Burberry (more than six percent via sold puts).
