Immupharma files international patent application for P140 precision medicine

Immupharma has filed a PCT application for its P140 approach to identify and treat patients with the so-called type-M immune profile. The application builds on a UK patent (priority Aug/Sep 2025) and includes additional experimental data generated during the 12-month priority period. The international phase includes search and publication and enables the pursuit of national/regional patent rights in selected markets. ImmuPharma selects Kymos Group as CRO for Kapiglucagon bioanalysis

ImmuPharma has chosen Kymos Deutschland/Prolytic through a competitive tender as the bioanalytical contract research partner for the Kapiglucagon program. Kymos will develop and validate regulated bioanalytical methods and analyse samples from nonclinical and phase 1 studies. Kapiglucagon is a glucagon prodrug intended for type 1 diabetes applications, aiming to improve solubility and formulation stability for dual-hormone artificial pancreas systems. ImmuPharma starts IND preparations for diabetes prodrug Kapiglucagon

ImmuPharma has initiated IND‑preparatory activities for Kapiglucagon, a glucagon prodrug for treating type 1 diabetes, and has engaged tranScrip Limited to prepare a regulatory strategy and a pre‑IND briefing for the FDA. The company is considering a 505(b)(2) approval pathway in the US, which could allow use of existing data on native glucagon. Kapiglucagon aims to address issues with native glucagon by providing improved solubility and formulation stability and could also be used in artificial pancreas systems.
