The board of directors of Kühne+Nagel plans to launch an independent investigation into the logistics group's role during National Socialism within a reasonable time. The move follows the death of long‑time majority shareholder Klaus‑Michael Kühne, who had previously rejected such a review. The company has already admitted to being involved in transports of confiscated goods; archives from Bremen and Hamburg are believed to have been largely destroyed. The agreement covers the global transport of components from Asia and could raise the annual business volume between the companies by several billion dollars.
