Nacon files for insolvency and plans court-supervised reorganization

The French games publisher and peripherals maker Nacon has filed for insolvency after the majority shareholder Bigben Interactive failed to repay funds and is currently unable to meet its payment obligations. Trading in Nacon and Bigben shares has been suspended; up to 1,000 jobs are at risk. Nacon will apply in Lille for a court-supervised reorganization, negotiate with creditors and, if necessary, seek to have debts frozen for up to 18 months; the first hearing is scheduled for early March.
