Ørsted raises EBITDA in first quarter to DKK 9.5 billion

Ørsted reported EBITDA of DKK 9.5 billion in Q1 2026, up 11% year on year, with the offshore business contributing DKK 7.5 billion. Power generation from offshore assets rose 27% thanks to the ramp-up of the Borkum Riffgrund 3 and Greater Changhua 4 wind farms and favourable wind conditions. Net profit fell to DKK 2.6 billion (–46%), burdened by impairments of DKK 1.4 billion due to higher long-term US interest rates. Ørsted reports DKK 25.1bn result for 2025 and remains within forecast range

Ørsted posted a result of DKK 25.1 billion for 2025, within its forecast range of DKK 24–27 billion. Net profit rose to DKK 3.2 billion versus DKK 16 million the previous year; the divestment program generated around DKK 46 billion and was completed earlier than planned. The company raised about DKK 60 billion through a rights issue, sold stakes in Hornsea 3 and Greater Changhua 2 as well as its European onshore business, and reported a 6% increase in offshore power generation. Ørsted gains tailwind after court rulings on offshore wind projects

A federal judge lifted the construction halt for the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project, sending Ørsted shares up about three percent. Earlier, a court had already declared the stop for Revolution Wind null and void.
