Prudential sold 9,885,169 shares of ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company at 3,065 INR per share, reducing its holding by 2 percentage points to 32.59%. The disposal generated around 30 billion INR (approximately 0.3 billion USD) before costs and taxes; the group reports a profit of about 0.3 billion USD. The sale was conducted via bookbuilding to help ICICI Prudential meet the Indian minimum public float rule (15% within five years).
