Questerre Energy reports profit in Q2 2026 after turnaround at PX Energy

Questerre Energy reported earnings per share of $0.06 for the quarter to June 2026 on revenue of $47.94 million. Brazilian subsidiary PX Energy achieved a record profit, supported by stricter cost control and higher efficiency, and Questerre stood out with a successful commercial HCCO technology test. Questerre forms 50/50 joint venture with Nice Capital for oil shale project in Brazil

Questerre and Nice Capital have signed a binding letter of intent to form a 50/50 joint venture to develop Parana Xisto SA (PX Energy) in southern Brazil. Both partners will initially provide up to $50 million in liquidity, with debt financing to be prioritized; Questerre can cover its share from existing funds.
