Ryanair says it will dispute claims that any part of passenger Ljubisa Karović was pulled outside after a window shattered on a July flight, with CEO Michael O’Leary saying the man was “sucked towards” but not out of the opening. The NTSB is leading an investigation involving the aircraft manufacturer and engine maker, while Karović remains severely injured and his lawyer says he was partly pulled through the opening. At the 2026 ordinary general meeting, Ryanair shareholders approved all resolutions by large majorities: the financial statements and reports and the final dividend received 100% approval. The remuneration report was approved with 86%, while the remuneration policy received only 61% support, prompting the company to announce further dialogue with shareholders. CEO Michael O’Leary was re-elected with 98% support; votes for other directors ranged from 95% to 100%. Airlines and airports report long waits for non-EU travellers under the new Entry-Exit-System; some passengers are said to have queued for up to two hours.
