Tullow Oil receives $9m for waiving royalty payments in Kenya

Tullow Oil has agreed to receive an additional payment of $9m from Auron Energy E&P Limited in exchange for waiving royalty payments and re-entry rights on its Kenya assets, increasing the total purchase price for the stake in Tullow Kenya B.V. The previously agreed sale comprises three tranches totaling $120m; tranche C remains unchanged and is linked to an average Dated-Brent price of at least $65/barrel. Tullow Oil: production rises 7% in first quarter, record prices for West African oil

Tullow Oil reported Q1 2026 production growth of 7.4% to 43,400 boepd, driven by the Jubilee field, and averaged roughly 90 USD/barrel in the quarter, including one cargo at 130 USD/barrel. Tullow Oil completes comprehensive refinancing with new issuances and Glencore placement

Tullow Oil has completed a refinancing, repaid existing bonds of USD 100m and refinanced a secured facility of USD 400m. The company issued senior secured notes (about USD 1,185m) due 2028 and subordinated secured notes (around USD 423m), arranged a super-senior commodity prepayment facility of USD 100m and placed additional notes worth USD 25m with Glencore.
