dormakaba has acquired the UK software company Alliants to strengthen its access solutions for the hospitality sector. Alliants offers mobile room keys for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, contactless check-in, concierge services, payment functions, messaging, as well as agentic AI, and employs more than 100 people. The Swiss takeover commission has granted the planned opting-out in the course of simplifying dormakaba’s ownership structure provisional legal validity, provided transparency requirements and shareholder approval — including the majority of the minority — are met. The transaction does not trigger a mandatory offer for the Mankel family’s shareholders. Kaba family shareholders are treated as minority shareholders and their votes count toward the majority of the minority. dormakaba has signed a sale-and-leaseback agreement for its global headquarters in Rümlang with Schroders ImmoPLUS for more than CHF 80 million. The company will remain on site and will lease the property under an initial 12-year contract at market terms, with options to extend for up to a further ten years.
