Romgaz raises half-year profit in 2026 despite falling revenues; Neptun Deep platform installed
Romgaz reports a H1 2026 net profit increase of 3.4% to RON 1.74 billion, although revenue fell 9% to RON 3.88 billion due to lower gas sales and regulated prices. EBITDA and net profit margins remained high; production was 2.4 billion m³ and declined in Q2 by only 2.8% year on year. Romgaz reports a Q3 2025 net profit increase of 73% to 755 mln RON on revenue of 1,800 mln RON and EBITDA of 1,008 mln RON. Production remained stable at 3.68 billion m³ in the first nine months, while the EBITDA margin was around 55%. Electrica plans green power projects up to 400 MW in Romania together with Romgaz
Electrica and Romgaz have signed a letter of intent to jointly develop greenfield generation and storage projects with capacities of up to 400 MW. Electrica is to act as lead developer, Romgaz as a strategic minority partner via a special-purpose vehicle.
