ArcelorMittal to invest €1.3bn in Dunkirk electric-arc furnace to cut CO2

ArcelorMittal confirmed a €1.3 billion investment to build a new electric arc furnace at its Dunkirk steelworks, aiming to start production in 2029 with a 2 million tonne capacity and roughly one-third the CO2 of blast-furnace steel. ArcelorMittal beats Q4 2025 earnings estimates despite declining revenues
