BlueScope reported adjusted EBIT of AUD 1.27 billion for fiscal 2026 and an EBIT of AUD 716 million in the second half, both above expectations, as well as an adjusted net profit after tax of just over AUD 800 million. The company raised the final and special dividends, bringing total distributions for 2026 to AUD 3.00 per share, and reported net debt of AUD 600 million. SGH and Steel Dynamics have made a final, non-binding cash offer for BlueScope Steel of A$32.35 per share, valuing BlueScope at about A$15 billion and representing a 47% premium to the adjusted closing price before the first bid.
