Braemar Hotels: major shareholder Al Shams nominates five candidates for board
Al Shams Investments, Braemar Hotels’ largest shareholder, has nominated five people for election to the board at the annual general meeting on 13 November 2026. The nominees are Jennifer L. Bitterman, Jonathan Klein, Anna Massion, Sir Michael Peat and Wayne R. Walker. Al Shams cites a more than 90% decline in Braemar’s share price since the 2013 demerger and criticizes large payments to the external adviser; the firm plans to file a proxy statement with the SEC.
