The DFS Furniture employee trust has completed the purchase of 1,300,000 ordinary shares at £0.10 each; Ocorian Limited received £5.8m for the transaction. The funds came from returned contributions from a “Save As You Earn” programme and an additional cash injection. The trustee plans to acquire a further 3,500,000 ordinary shares within 12 months to meet obligations from employee share schemes, long-term incentives and restricted shares. DFS Furniture confirms its profit guidance of £43–50m for the full year, despite a recent fall in customer traffic.
