Trafigura’s investment arm, Urion Investment Holdings, placed more than 16.8 million Atalaya Mining shares at 915 pence each, fully divesting its holding. The placement raised about £154m and pushed the share price down 8.9% to €11.20 due to the offer overhang and the discount to market price. Atalaya Mining itself does not benefit from the transaction; operational metrics remain strong with record EBITDA, high cash flow and a debt-free balance sheet. Atalaya reports a record Q2 2026 EBITDA of €78m, a record free cash flow of €58m and net cash of around €318–319m with zero debt. Copper production rose to 13,500 tonnes following recoveries from weather-related disruptions; half-year EBITDA stands at €126m.
