Balfour Beatty raises forecast for 2026 after strong first half

Balfour Beatty reported H1 2026 revenue growth to £5.6bn (+8%, currency-adjusted +10%) and a 42% rise in operating profit to £153m. Earnings per share rose 51% to 21.7p, supported by a £200m share buyback programme, and net cash amounted to £1.7bn. The company slightly upgraded its full-year forecast for operating profit and now expects low double-digit growth; net finance result is forecast at £35–40m.
