Griffin Mining posts record operating profit in first half
Griffin Mining reports an operating profit of $28.2m for the six months ended 30 June 2026, the highest result for a first half in the company’s history. The Caijiaying mine in China increased revenue by 21% to $77.3m; net profit after tax rose to $21.0m from $8.8m a year earlier. Production and metal prices improved: 13,606 t of zinc, 1,420 t of lead, 161,402 oz of silver and 6,011 oz of gold; higher prices led to significantly better margins. Griffin repurchased $14.2m of its own shares, invested $14.8m in capex and holds $39.6m in cash; the reduced throughput rate is expected to remain until early 2027, pending environmental and safety permits. » Mere på de.investing.com
