Infineon poised for comeback after AI record quarter, but valuation carries risk

Infineon expands cooperation with SolarEdge for semiconductor-based protection technology in 800-volt data centers

Infineon and SolarEdge are jointly developing a solid-state circuit breaker for 800-volt DC data centers; SolarEdge leads the design and Infineon supplies silicon-carbide JFETs as the core component. The protection technology is intended to isolate faults in microseconds and addresses the lack of a current zero crossing in DC architectures. Infineon: Morgan Stanley doubts AI data‑center growth and downgrades

Morgan Stanley downgraded Infineon from “Overweight” to “Equal‑weight” and cut the price target from €81 to €65, saying the bank expects significantly lower data‑center revenue growth for 2027 than the market. The stock fell, while the consensus of 24 analysts still largely recommends buying and holds an average target of €86.59.
