Ganfeng Lithium fuels rally with JV in South Africa, reaches new highs

The lithium price is rising due to growing demand for e-mobility and energy storage, while many supply projects are progressing more slowly. The Best of Lithium Index climbed to a three-year high, led by strong gains in Ganfeng Lithium and SQM. Ganfeng has formed a joint venture with Lithium Africa for the Springbok project in South Africa to secure its supply. Ganfeng Lithium faces renewed charges over insider trading

Ganfeng Lithium's stock briefly fell by more than five percent but recovered almost fully by the close after it emerged that the police had forwarded the insider trading case to the public prosecutor. Ganfeng emphasizes that operational activities, particularly in Jiangxi province, remain unchanged and are not affected by the proceedings.
