Lloyds Banking Group issued 2,535,129 ordinary shares between 1 and 28 August to meet allocations under employee share schemes. The shares, with a nominal value of 10 pence, were admitted to trading under existing listings on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange and are fully fungible. After the issue, the total number of ordinary shares admitted to trading is 57,994,703,389. Lloyds Banking Group appoints Kelly Bennett, effective 1 September, as an independent, non-executive member of the board of directors. Bennett was Chief Marketing Officer at Netflix from 2012–2019 and previously held senior roles at Warner Bros.; she has also advised Microsoft Xbox and the founders of Nubank and is currently chair of the supervisory board at Zalando as well as a venture advisor at Technology Crossover Ventures. A parish treasurer reports Lloyds Bank closed the church's account and a bank system fault prevented opening the required new business account. The church opened an account at another bank but Lloyds repeatedly delayed transferring the remaining balance of nearly £5,500, at one point claiming lost ID documents.
