Saputo sells U.K. dairy business to Lactalis for £988 million

Saputo has reached a definitive agreement to sell its U.K. dairy division to B.S.A. SAS (Lactalis); the enterprise value is about £988 million. The deal includes five production sites and brands such as Cathedral City, Wensleydale, Davidstow, Clover and Country Life. The unit generated roughly $1.2 billion in revenue over the past four quarters (about 7% of group sales). Closing is expected by the end of Q1 2027 and is subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals. Saputo sells 80% of its Argentine dairy unit to Gloria Foods

Saputo has completed the sale of an 80% stake in its Argentine dairy division to Gloria Foods for about $543 million and retains 20% of the business. The site in Argentina will continue to manufacture selected products for Saputo to support its international product portfolio. Saputo misses earnings and revenue expectations, stock falls after hours

For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, Saputo reported adjusted EPS of CAD 0.41, missing the analyst estimate of CAD 0.4675 (‑12.3%). Revenue fell 6% year‑on‑year to CAD 4.2 billion and came in below forecasts. Adjusted EBITDA rose 5% and operating cash flow exceeded CAD 500 million, while the stock slipped 2.41% in after‑hours trading.
