Swissquote plans rollout of finance app Yuh in Europe as early as 2027

Swissquote is considering launching the finance app Yuh in Europe in 2027, ideally via its Luxembourg subsidiary. Target markets are Germany, France and Benelux; the app still needs to be adapted by roughly 15% to meet MiFID rules. Swissquote is testing AI features such as the chatbot Yuhlia, which is being monitored by FINMA, and aims to attract more customers with salary inflows. Swissquote closes around 600 accounts of Russians living in Switzerland

Swissquote will close about 600 accounts held by Russian nationals resident in Switzerland, mainly customers of the app Yuh. The reason is economic: additional monitoring efforts for source of funds, transactions and sanctions checks amid comparatively low returns. The bank is holding talks to identify cases in which the business relationship can be continued, for example for dual citizens or profitable customers. Swissquote share falls 12% despite record assets and profit rise

Swissquote reported rising net revenue for H1 2026 (CHF 364.2 million) and pre-tax profit (CHF 153.6 million); client assets also climbed to a record CHF 96.3 billion with net new money of CHF 5.1 billion. However, crypto business revenues were only around CHF 14 million—well below the annual budget of CHF 85 million—which apparently weighed more heavily on investors and pushed the share down 12.11% to $37.6.
