Valiant Bank retains Moody's A1 rating with stable outlook

Moody's has affirmed Valiant Bank's long- and short-term ratings at A1/P-1 and kept the outlook at "stable." The affirmation is justified by a solid mortgage business, high credit quality, strong capitalisation and comfortable liquidity. Moody's nevertheless points to the bank's heavy dependence on its mortgage business and limited income diversification. Valiant expects higher EPS for Q1, revenue significantly lower

According to analyst estimates, Valiant is expected to release figures for the quarter ended 31 March 2026 on 7 May 2026. For the quarter, earnings per share (EPS) of CHF 2.91 are expected versus CHF 2.07 a year earlier, while revenue would fall to around CHF 137.8 million (prior year: CHF 191.0 million, -27.84%).
