Capital increase of about $15 million weighs on Village Farms

Village Farms announced a registered direct placement of 7.5 million common shares to raise roughly $15 million, after which the stock fell about 8.9% in premarket trading. Upon closing, expected around June 8, a total of 121,811,130 common shares would be outstanding, representing dilution for existing shareholders.
