UBS downgrade pushes Ypsomed stock down nearly 7%

UBS downgraded Ypsomed from "Buy" to "Neutral" and cut its price target from CHF 425 to CHF 400; the stock then fell about 6.9% to CHF 355.2 (intraday low CHF 345). The bank cites significantly worse prospects for the obesity drug CagriSema after head-to-head data, and cut its sales forecasts for CagriSema in diabetes by about 50%. UBS downgrades Ypsomed to "Neutral" after Cagrisema setback

UBS has cut Ypsomed from "Buy" to "Neutral" and lowered the price target from 425 to 400 francs after Phase‑3 data for Cagrisema disappointed. UBS halved its peak sales potential for Cagrisema in type‑2 diabetes and reduced Ypsomed’s expected GLP‑1 product sales for 2029/30 by 10% to 255 million francs, which trims EPS forecasts for 2026–2029 by about 5% on average. Ypsomed wins 14 new customer projects in first quarter

Ypsomed has started the 2026/27 fiscal year strongly, winning 14 new customer projects in the first quarter, exceeding the quarterly average. Demand is driven mainly by high-volume autoinjectors, biosimilar product launches and new therapy areas such as infectious diseases.
