Executives of the Montanaro European Smaller Companies Trust purchased a total of 310,848 ordinary shares worth £456,000, including 67,500 shares by chairman Gordon Neilly and 200,000 shares by Charles Montanaro. The trust reports that consensus forecasts for portfolio companies imply earnings growth of 26% for 2026 and 18% for 2027, and recent reported results exceeded expectations. About half of the held companies have net cash positions; the portfolio focuses on European small-caps with recurring revenues and strong balance sheets. Montanaro European Smaller Companies Trust has set the tender price for its buyback offer at 173.1169 pence per share and will repurchase 7,409,587 tendered shares. Cavendish Capital Markets will acquire the shares on 3 December 2025; all repurchased securities will be held as treasury shares. Payments to CREST holders are expected by 5 December 2025, cheques for physical certificates by 15 December 2025.
