Can-Fite BioPharma stock rises after successful liver treatment with namodenoson
Can-Fite BioPharma’s shares climbed about 9.5% after a patient with advanced decompensated liver cirrhosis treated with namodenoson under a compassionate-use program was kept clinically stable until transplantation. Clinic director Prof. Ohad Etzion called the case an encouraging observation, though single cases should be interpreted with caution. Namodenoson is an orally available A3-adenosine-receptor agonist and is being evaluated in multiple studies (Phase III for liver cancer, Phase IIb for MASH, Phase IIa for pancreatic cancer). The company cites a growing global market for liver cirrhosis, projected to rise from roughly USD 7.6 billion (2024) to over USD 15 billion by 2031. » More on de.investing.com
Can-Fite BioPharma calls extraordinary general meeting after NYSE warning on audit committee
Can-Fite BioPharma has called an extraordinary general meeting for March 3, 2026, to consider proposals including the election of a new independent director. The call follows a notice from NYSE American stating that, after the resignation of an independent director, the audit committee no longer meets the minimum requirement of three independent members. If an independent director is elected at the extraordinary meeting, they would join the audit committee and restore compliance with NYSE requirements. According to the company, the notice has no impact on the current listing or trading of the American Depositary Shares under the ticker CANF. » More on de.investing.com
Can-Fite BioPharma conducts 1-for-3,000 reverse split
Can-Fite BioPharma has approved a reverse split of its ordinary shares at a ratio of 1-for-3,000, effective on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange on January 2, 2026; trading in the newly consolidated shares will begin on January 5, 2026. At the same time, the company is adjusting its ADS ratio: one ADS will now represent two ordinary shares instead of 300 previously (equivalent to an ADS split of 1-for-20) and will receive a new CUSIP number. The measure reduces the number of outstanding shares and lowers the authorized shares from 42 billion to 14 million, but the company says it does not materially change shareholders’ percentage voting rights. Can-Fite is trading around $0.24 at a 52-week low, has a market capitalization of about $16 million, and, according to analyst assessments (H.C. Wainwright), also shows potential from late-stage candidates in its development pipeline. » More on de.investing.com
